What We Do

The LifeSpan medicine program is a lifestyle, not just a checkup. It is a pathway to optimum health and function for the future. LifeSpan will give you insight and understanding into your most valuable asset: you. Your program begins with an Initial Comprehensive Evaluation. The data from this evaluation is analyzed and summarized in a comprehensive medical report, which you review in detail with your LifeSpan physician. You and your LifeSpan physician will work together to design your plan. By the conclusion of this review, your path to greater health and well-being will be clear. A follow up schedule of testing will also be determined to ensure abnormalities are monitored until corrected.

At each 6 month point, we will perform a customized evaluation to check your progress. During this Progress Check you'll have your medical history and goals updated and any persistent abnormalities from previous visits re-examined. You and your LifeSpan physician will carefully review your progress and modify your program to keep you feeling great and on track to achieving your goals.

Each year you will undergo an Annual Comprehensive Evaluation to measure improvement, look for problems and make any modifications necessary to help maintain optimum health and abilities. Each LifeSpan evaluation compares data from all previous evaluations so we can recognize trends and identify the best possible approach for maintaining your health. Life is change, and your health changes with it. Regularly scheduled exams enable you to monitor your progress, detect negative changes and provide the insights needed to preserve your well-being. The outline below is the general structure of the LifeSpan medicine program:

Comprehensive Risk Assessment:

  • A clear assessment of your current health status
  • Assessing your current risk for developing chronic and life threatening disease
  • Detailed report outlining recommendations and a customized plan
  • Ongoing support in helping you overcome problems and reaching your goals

Six Month Progress Check:

  • Customized examination for each individual assessing progress and making program modifications
  • Ongoing support in helping you achieve and maintain your goals to look and feel your best

Annual Evaluation:

  • Detailed comprehensive evaluation and report containing current and comparative data from previous visits to track your progress
  • New recommendations for your changing lifestyle and health
  • Ongoing support in helping you reach new goals and feel your best

Interim Laboratory Testing:

  • Some abnormalities discovered during your exam cannot wait for progress checks and annual evaluations. These are rechecked at shorter intervals. Elevated cholesterol, borderline anemia, and abnormal hormone levels are three examples of abnormalities rechecked prior to six months.
